After weeks of melodic anticipation, Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, is delighted to announce the winner of its first co-worker IKEA Talents contest.
“This year we launched the first ever IKEA Talents show – engaging all our talents within the big IKEA family across the world. This turned out to be a huge success – a way of strengthening the togetherness and empowering the creativity and passion that is out there“
– Jesper Brodin, Ingka Group CEO
IKEA believes that everyone has talent and should strive to develop and embrace it. IKEA Talents was introduced in 2024 to encourage togetherness and creativity and give all co-workers, regardless of role, position, or assignment, an opportunity to express and share their musical skills with each other.
From 150 co-workers across 21 countries submitting their song entries, to the grand finale with 23 exceptional finalists, the competition has orchestrated a resonating blend of creativity, passion, and unity.
In a thrilling crescendo of votes and cheers, the global winner of IKEA Talents goes to Thomas from IKEA Austria. Thomas, a Goods Flow co-worker, impressed the jury and got most co-workers’ votes with his song ’This is our Love’.
Thomas’ music career started at the age of five learning to play the recorder, quickly followed by the guitar. He has spent time playing in a band, writing his own songs as well as recording and producing professionally. Thomas joined IKEA last year and combines this with his work as a music producer.
Impressed by co-workers’ skills at building beats and not just bookcases, the company has decided to also award the top five acts, who will join Thomas and record their hits in Stockholm’s Atlantis Music Studio, the same place that Swedish sensation ABBA recorded many of their hits.
Of his win, Thomas said: “Amazing, what a big surprise! It will certainly be an indescribable experience to record where ABBA and co. have already worked. I’m really looking forward to this experience and to being able to record my song there. Really cool!”

I’m so impressed by the broad engagement, and the amazing winner, Thomas, showcasing extraordinary talent – making me feel like I’m a part of something truly special”, added Brodin.
IKEA Talents winner, Thomas, finished: “I believe this competition gives people the opportunity to grow beyond themselves and become creative. I for sure like to be able to share my passion with a large audience, and winning is a confirmation of the quality of my work.”
