- Ingka Centres passes the 10,000 user milestone in pilot initiative to encourage healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
- The program is integrated with the Livat Family loyalty ecosystem and WeChat platform and will be piloted at Livat Beijing and Livat Changsha this summer.
- Visitors’ sustainable behaviour will allow them to accrue points that can be exchanged for sustainability-themed gifts or fund planet-positive donations.
Livat Beijing and Livat Changsha have launched a pilot programme offering Green Points to visitors in return for sustainable actions, such as walking extra steps, bringing their own cups, driving EV cars to the meeting places, or taking part in educational activities and workshops. The four-month pilot will run until the end of August with awarded “green” points able to be exchanged for sustainability-themed gifts or donated to planet-positive good causes like planting real trees or acquiring Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
"We strive to meet people’s aspirations for a better life and a better future for our planet. We sincerely hope that these entertaining, sustainable activities and products will promote green living inspirations and encourage more people to embrace sustainable lifestyles. We continue testing and offering a variety of solutions in our meeting places to make sustainable living more accessible and attractive for the many people across local communities."– Zhu Hanhui, Ingka Centres China Cluster Operations Manager
The Livat Green Points mini program is integrated with the Livat Family loyalty program and makes the most of existing digital membership and multi-channel technology at both of meeting places, with 10,000 participants signing up and participating in the first month alone. Certified tenant partners at Livat Beijing and Livat Changsha provide a range of sustainable products and services to members, with 49 and 31 “Green Points Tenants” at Livat Beijing and Livat Changsha respectively. Such tenants range across fashion, food and beverage, parenting, smart technology and sports.
"A more sustainable lifestyle starts with responsibility and focuses on persistence. In China, we are using 100% renewable electricity across all of our sites to support our 2030 goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 80%. Going forward, we'll keep working to make sustainable living more accessible to everyone by consistently offering new experiences, events, education and inspirations."– Shi Jingjue, Ingka Centres China Sustainability Business Partner
