Ingka Group and partners discuss global state of equality

Earlier this year, IKEA Retail (Ingka Group) and GlobeScan conducted an in-depth survey into attitudes and behaviours around equality. The findings have now been shared as part of a webinar to help other businesses, policymakers and change agents to drive progress towards equality for all.

The webinar features Peter List, global head of ED&I at IKEA Retail (Ingka Group), as well as Halla Tomasdottir of B-Team, discussing what companies can do to make a difference.

Research findings indicate that there is room for improvement on equality in society. Globally, only four in ten people are satisfied with equality in their country. People associate equality mainly with topics of gender, and ethnicity, race and nationality. At the same time, attitudes in these areas are relatively less progressive. There is a continued need to support women’s changing roles and raise awareness on institutional forms of discrimination due to ethnicity.

The global research delved into attitudes and behaviours around equality with over 17,000 people across 17 countries.
