Chief Digital Officer Barbara Martin Coppola to leave Ingka Group

After four years with Ingka Group, Barbara Martin Coppola will leave her role as Chief Digital Officer to pursue her career outside of IKEA. She will join Decathlon in March 2022, where she will take up the role as CEO.

Barbara joined Ingka Group as Chief Digital Officer in 2018 and has been a driving force in the digital transformation. Together with her team, Barbara has played a central role in evolving the company through data, not only with algorithms but also with a new range of analytics.

It’s with mixed emotions that I have taken the decision to leave Ingka Group at this moment. IKEA is dear to me with its people, values and potential. I am leaving behind amazing teams, and I will be cheering on the side watching how you reach the next milestones. I am going for another adventure, but I know we will be in contact. When looking back at my four years, I have a deep sense of pride and gratitude. Keep making the world a better place, IKEA!”, says Barbara.

We thank Barbara for the work she has done and wish her all the best for her future. Her successor will be announced at a later stage.
