IKEA today opened the doors to their exhibition at Tenoha, Via Vigevano 18, for Milan Design Week 2025. A week packed with a new collection reveal and inspiration on how to design for sustainable change lies in wait for visitors.
Marking the 40th anniversary since the first launch of STOCKHOLM, IKEA unveils its most extensive collection yet exclusively at Design Week – with 96 thoughtfully designed pieces reflecting a signature mark of high-quality materials and Scandinavian design.
"It is with great joy that we showcase the eighth edition of our flagship collection at Milan Design Week. Inspired by its namesake, this edition reflects the urban and natural landscape of Stockholm. The collection embraces craftsmanship, marrying hands-on techniques with thoughtful materials to produce designs that we hope will be enjoyed for generations to come."– Karin Gustavsson, Creative Leader for STOCKHOLM
Three Swedish designers, Paulin Machado, Nike Karlsson and Ola Wihlborg, each with their own distinct design approach, have crafted a collection that is both cohesive and full of standout pieces. The focus is on materials – solid wood, textured textiles, linen, leather, and rattan – selected for their durability and the beauty they develop over time. The result is a thoughtfully curated range, from statement sofas and handwoven wool rugs to mouth-blown glass vases and ceramic tableware.

Elsewhere in the venue visitors will be able to feel some of the most interesting insights from the annual IKEA Life at Home Report. The latest Life at Home Report found that 36% of people find enjoyment important but don’t often have it fulfilled at home. Put simply, it means that over a third of people globally aren’t enjoying their home enough. For Milan Design Week, architect Midori and spatial designer Emerzon have creatively responded to this insight in the venue through the “Eat”, “Play”, and “Greenery” areas. Also on display will be an exhibit named ‘Do Something. Change Everything.’, which lifts the veil on some of the actions IKEA has taken to be more sustainable. It shows how even the smallest choices can make a difference to shape a better future.

Daily workshops and nightly parties will be curated by a different creative collective every day throughout the week, and the listening room will always be available for visitors to unwind in and listen to the jazzy vibes of Vars Lon Trio, the IKEA house band for the week. A specially designed Swedish food menu will be available throughout the week, featuring the Smörgås Sensation exclusively available from IKEA Food at Milan Design Week.

Last but not least, visitors can exit through the gift shop where beautiful, affordable designs will be available including some first gems from the new STOCKHOLM 2025 collection.
