Ingka Group contributes to the IKEA ambition to become circular and climate positive and enable one billion people live healthier and more sustainable lives within the limits of the planet by 2030.
At the 50th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting (WEF) in Davos, we will share how our business initiatives, focus on climate change and sustainability, emphasis on equality at work, data ethics, and other such initiatives are helping us achieve our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people and transform IKEA to become people and planet positive.
Nearly 3,000 participants from 117 countries, including 53 heads of state will participate in the four-day event, which starts on 21 January, 2020. Ingka Group will be represented by Jesper Brodin, Chief Executive; Barbara Martin Coppola, Chief Digital Officer; and Olivia Ross-Wilson, Communication Manager at the annual meeting. The theme for the World Economic Forum this year is Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World.
We are dedicated to contributing to the IKEA commitment to become climate positive by 2030 – eliminating more greenhouse gas emissions than the IKEA value chain emits, while growing the IKEA business
During the forum, we will release the global results of our Climate Action Research. The insights from the research will be used to inspire and enable millions of customers and thousands of IKEA co-workers to take positive action for the climate.
And, this time we will also host an IKEA Hub, TRÄDHUS, to discuss and hold events in connection to topics such as climate change, data ethics, gender equality and purpose, that are all important to our business and vision. The TRÄDHUS calendar is available for download below.
Stay tuned for more updates. We have a lot to share.
