Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, today announces a decision to outsource a selective part of its digital expertise and services to a key external partner, Infosys, a global leader in consulting, technology, and outsourcing solutions. The decision reflects the company’s dedication to adapting to changing market dynamics, while enhancing its agility and efficiency.
Ingka Group is constantly reviewing and improving its business to be more resilient and relevant for the future. The company is making significant investments in new and existing stores and creating a unique omnichannel experience while lowering prices and ensuring it continues to deliver the best possible experience for its customers.
Parag Parekh, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Ingka Group, says: “After careful consideration and evaluation of our current operations, Ingka Group has identified opportunities to improve the delivery of digital tools and services to co-workers with speed, scale and flexibility. Around 350 roles will be impacted across China, France, Germany, India, Poland, Sweden, and the United States. The majority of co-workers will be offered roles at Infosys, and Ingka Group is committed to supporting co-workers as well as providing comprehensive assistance and support resources throughout this period.
